This year the family of St. John's created a "Caring Tree" as a symbol of our faith in action.
Our Hope this Advent and Christmas is that the Light of Jesus will fill the darkness of unemployment, worry and anxciety with Joy and Peace. We reached out in a Spirit of Love & Generosity to care for two families in need.
On the branches of the "Caring Tree" we hung red cards with a child's wish for a Christmas gift. Parishoners took the cards and made each wish come true. The wrapped gifts arrived at the church with joy-filled stories of finding just the right thing.
As we await the birth of Jesus, we bring the Light of his Love and Peace into the dark spaces so the Joy of that Holy Night fills every heart!
